1. Angular Interiors
They say trends run in 30-year cycles, so it’s little surprise that bold geometric patterns are returning to fashion and interiors alike.
In particular, Aztec designs have been growing in popularity for several years, and combining bold shapes with strong colours can create something truly stunning.

2. Back to Nature
Environmental concerns still rank highly in many people’s minds, and it’s easy to incorporate these into your interior design simply by focusing on natural materials.
We are seeing wooden floors replace fitted carpets in many properties, but it’s a trend that can extend to your walls and furniture too.
Nobody is saying your interiors should look like a jungle – although, of course, they can if you want – but even simply using fabrics like linen, cotton and wool can help to support the all-natural feel.
3. Floral Fabrics
Building on the Back to Nature theme, think also about the prints you use – both on fabrics, and on your wallpaper.
Floral designs don’t have to be hippyish (but again, they can be if you want), and can offer an elegant way to connect your interiors with the natural world outside.
4. Minimalism to the Max
A minimalist interior design scheme does not have to be boring – colourful cushions, rugs and other accessories have been a growing trend for several years, but they’re really coming into their own.
Present-day accessories are not a compromise between colour and performance; there are some very high-quality, vividly coloured products out there to help add a splash of brightness to your room, so be bold.
5. Statement Storage
If the idea of a very practical interior design scheme takes your fancy, then the Statement Storage trend is the one for you.
Equip your interiors with an elegant storage unit – a linen trunk for the bedroom, or a dresser for the dining room, for instance.
